Need to get a grip on referencing?

Look no further than RefMe

Look no further than RefMe

Whether you use UW Harvard or APA, RefMe can help you organise your reading and get all your citations and reference lists looking smart.

What is RefMe?

It's an online smartphone and desktop app which you can use to organise your references. We've been working with the developers and you can now access University of Worcester Harvard and APA styles.

You can search for reference details using author, title, DOI, or ISBN. If you use Chrome you can have a handy 'clipper' to automatically download information from a lot of websites. You can even scan the barcode of a book with your mobile, and the details will be instantly added.

What do I need to do?

Download RefMe to your phone or computer, create an account and then start entering your references. Select the reference style you need to create your reference list, then you can export the list into Word. There’s a guide if you need a hand.

What's the catch?

Nothing really. It's free, simple to use and creates your reference list for you. Sure, you should always check your list and edit it to make sure it's perfect, but RefMe does the donkey work. For those of you missing the old UW referencing generator, this is a great alternative. Be sure to let us know what you think at askalibrarian@worc.ac.uk.
