We know that assessment periods can be stressful and that, sometimes, it can feel like the entire University population has descended on The Hive to read, write, reference and the rest.
That’s why this Spring we’ve introduced a number of changes to your library environment to help you find your space and Study Happy.
For the period 24th April- 13th May we’ve created over 120 additional spaces for group, quiet and silent study.
Level 0 Shared study & additional individual study space
Level 2 Meeting rooms 1-6 booked exclusively for students
Meeting rooms 2 & 3 are designated silent study spaces
Level 3 Additional spaces created for quiet study
Meeting rooms 7 & 8 booked exclusively for students
Level 4 Designated silent study space
You said you needed more spaces to work on you own devices and more ways to make use of our comfy seating so we’ve introduced a new range of portable laptop tables to give you more flexibility and a better study experience.
Throughout the assessment period, we will be making taking a break that little bit easier with free tea, coffee and biscuits in our designated breakout space during Study Happy hour sessions. Look out for announcements on Library Services Twitter and Facebook or check the Study Happy webpages for more details.
