Inter library requests

Less than 500 words

We can help you find books and articles from outside of our collections. This service is for University of Worcester staff, students, and partner students registered with the University.  For information on using other university libraries, please see the staff or student borrowing and access pages.

How do I make a request?

First, please check Library Search to make sure that we do not hold a copy of the article or book.  If we do not have the item, please complete the online request form.

How many requests can I make, and how much does it cost?

We heavily subsidise inter-library requests, so please bear this in mind before making a request. For example, each book loan costs Library Services £13.95. Each renewal costs £5.

New for this semester: There is no charge for initial requests, either copies or loans. Book renewal charges still apply to some categories of borrower.

How long will it take to receive my book or article?

We aim to supply within a week, but it may take longer, so please plan ahead.  If there is a problem or delay we will contact you.

Where do I collect my request?

Articles will be emailed to your university account, or posted to the address you supply.
Books must be collected from The Hive, and returned to a member of staff - please don't use the book returns machine.

I want to renew my inter-library book, how do I do this?

Please use the yellow bookmark or email us to renew.  There is a charge to renew books, please see the table above for details.
