Writing and referencing

Help is at hand

Help is at hand

If you are writing an assignment and want to improve your grades, there is no better time to start than now. And the good news? Help is available.

Getting in a knot with grammar? Struggling with structure? Finding it hard to say what you want to say? The good folks at the Language Centre in Jenny Lind can help you. Bring in a draft assignment and get feedback from an academic English tutor on the structure and style of your writing. Learn to make your sentences and paragraphs more effective and use better academic vocabulary, grammar and style.

Monday-Friday 14:00-16:00, opposite room JLG018. Book here.

Getting good grades, but keen to get better ones? Want to write in a more academic style? If academic essays are a challenge, you need the Writers in Residence. There are two: Judith and Karen. Both professional, published authors, they can help with drafting and planning your written assignments, and with editing and redrafting to improve what you submit.

Monday-Thursday, St Johns Campus. More details here.

And what about referencing? Library services can help with this, as well as the all-important search for good quality, relevant info. There’s some information available on our webpages, or many ways to contact us for help:
