We're inviting academics and researchers from across the University to join us in celebrating Open Access Week 19 – 25 October 2020. It’s an annual, international series of events promoting research that is free to read and re-use. Contact the WRaP team if you have any questions.
On 20 October, we’re screening the fascinating documentary, Paywall: The Business of Scholarship. This film looks at how top academic publishers like Elsevier sustain profit margins greater than tech companies such as Apple, Facebook and Google.
We’ll start at 12.30pm, and have a Q&A after with Karen Veitch, Open Access Support Officer, and Roger Fairman, Research Librarian and Repository Manager.
