If you need access to articles and books that are not held in our stock, we can help you obtain them from other libraries.
Inter library requests are for your private study and research.
This service is for University of Worcester staff, students and partner students registered with the University. Academic staff can use the digitisation service for electronic copies for module resource lists.
First, check Library Search, to make sure we do not hold a copy of the article or book.
Then complete an online request form (click on 'Send a Request', one of the tabs at the top of the page).
We usually aim to supply within seven working days.
Articles are sent to your university email. Books must be collected from The Hive and returned to a member of staff. Please do not use the book returns machine.
Your article will be delivered by email. We will contact you if there is a problem or delay.
Click on the link to the article in the email from the British Library.
Click to download your document.
Once your document is open, you can save the document. If you do not save it, the link will stop working after 30 days.
There is no charge for initial requests, for both articles and book loans.
Undergraduates pay £1.50 per book renewal.
Please bear in mind that we heavily subsidise requests. The British Library charges approximately £19 per book, £7 per article and £6 per renewal.
First and second-year undergraduates: five requests per year.
Final year undergraduates: 25 requests.
Postgraduates, researchers and staff: 50 requests.
We encourage you to keep within the initial loan period.
If you do need a renewal, please email us. Undergraduates pay £1.50 per book renewal.
