Returning books

Please return any library books you no longer need as soon as possible. This is especially important if you’re leaving the University. You can return items to The Hive or any Worcestershire public library. There are charges for long-overdue items.

Any books you’ve borrowed will automatically renew up to 9 times. We’ll email you to confirm whether your items have been auto-renewed. Check your university email regularly to keep up to date. You’ll need to return items if they are requested by another library customer. This will still apply if you have moved away from Worcester over the summer. We recommend you check how many times your books have already renewed and return any you no longer need or that are nearing their maximum renewals.

Ask a Librarian and The Hive

The Hive is open 7 days a week, 8.30-22.00. Live chat will run until Friday 11 July. The Ask a Librarian service continues over the summer via online formemail or appointment.

Alumni membership

Once you have completed your course of study you will be entitled to alumni membership. You'll find more details on our webpage or from our Hive front of house team.

Students who use PebblePad

If you are leaving the University and want to keep your PebblePad for personal learning and professional development, you’ll need to create a free alumni account. To maintain access to your alumni account, you must use a personal email address (not your UW account) which you intend to keep for the foreseeable future. Only create a PebblePad alumni account just before you leave as all work will be copied across to your new account and it is not possible to reverse this action.

If you are leaving the University, Library Services wish you every success in the future.
