As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week Library Services invites you to our sessions and tours. Open to all:

Study Skills Live, every day 17-21 March:

Don't enjoy reading?  Easily distracted?  Struggle to find enough time to read?

You are not alone.

Book here for Library Services Study Skills Live session ‘Tools for tackling text’. We’ll share some of our favourite reading tools and apps that can make your life easier.  Come and see if there is one (or more) that would work for you.

Neurodiversity and RNIB Bookshare

Come and find out whether RNIB Bookshare is for you. As a neurodiverse learner you may prefer to use accessible electronic files of the book titles you need on a tablet or other electronic device. You can then listen to your reading.  Or change how you view the text in terms of font colour and style and background. You could also modify the title to print out and read, whatever works best for you.

In the session we can show you how the service works and answer any questions. The service is free for students and you don't need a formal diagnosis.

Get yourself set-up with the right tools and celebrate being uniquely you. Book online for either or both sessions. We have other Study Skills Live sessions available too.

Relaxed tours of The Hive

A ‘relaxed’ guided tour around the Hive, running during some of the Hive’s quieter times with smaller groups than other tours.

If you are neurodiverse or have noise sensitivity you might find these tours useful but all are welcome (no disclosures required). Discover study spaces to suit your needs and how to: find, borrow and return books; print and copy; access pcs and wifi; get help and more. Sign up here.
