Finding Resources

Find the ebooks, journal articles and more that you need for your course via Library Search.

Check out our top tips for finding the sources you need for your studies.

You can listen to our ebooks if you prefer. If you struggle to read print comfortably due to dyslexia, autism, ADHD, a visual impairment or physical disability then Bookshare is for you.

Dudley College Library

If you find a book on your resource list is not available in ebook format, you can borrow it from the Dudley College library at the Broadway campus. Use your Dudley College student cards to borrow books from here.  Search the Dudley College library catalogue to check the current availability of books, and current opening hours.  Most of the books and journal articles you need for your course are available electronically from the University of Worcester via Library Search.

The book or article I want isn’t available via Dudley College library or online via the University's  Library Search

Borrow items by post

Can't find an ebook copy of something you need? If we have a copy in The Hive and you are studying in the UK we can post directly to your home address. Just fill out the Books by post request form. Please allow time for your request to be processed and posted.

You are responsible for returning the book on time and for paying for the postage to send the book back. We recommend posting books by recorded delivery.

Inter library requests

If you need access to a journal article that is not available from our collections, place an interlibrary request. You can also request single chapters of books to be delivered to you electronically.

Unless you are local to Worcester, we recommend that you do not request complete books via inter library request as you must collect and return these at The Hive.

Use another university library near you

Apply via SCONUL Access if you would like to use study spaces, books or journals at other university libraries.  You won’t be able to borrow books but university libraries can be great places to study without distraction so why not use the books while you are there?  The SCONUL Access website tells you which libraries participate. You can use your SCONUL Access membership to access more than one university library.

The Hive

If you are visiting Worcester, we would love to see you in The Hive. The Hive is Worcester’s joint University and public library. If you wish to borrow books, your University of Worcester student ID is your library card. Show your University of Worcester ID Card for a 10% discount in The Hive café. Before you visit you might like to look at:
