New and returning students

Welcome (back). Here's our latest information on booking borrowing/ return for the new academic year:

Loan periods and renewals

  • Our usual loan periods and fines and charges apply.
  • You can renew items up to nine times, providing they are not reserved by another borrower. We'll send an email reminder to your student account two days before your items are due back but it is your responsibility to return or renew books on time.

Returning your loans

  • You can return your loans at the sortation machine in The Hive, any Worcestershire branch library or via the returns bin in the Peirson building.
  • Check opening times for The Hive and other Worcestershire Libraries before you visit.
  • Items that are not returned are subject to a standard replacement charge (usually £30 per item).

No longer a student?

  • You should return your books to The Hive, the drop box in the Peirson building or any Worcestershire branch library
  • Live at distance from Worcester? You'll be able to return your books your graduation day. If you want to do this, please contact our Library Accounts team for details.
  • If you are still unsure or need help returning your books, please contact the Library Accounts team and we can help to work something out.
