To help you prepare for the upcoming Christmas break, we've made a list (and checked it twice) of our top tips for studying over the holidays

1. Get the help you need before the holidays

We're running our Study Skills Live sessions right up to the Christmas break. Brush up on your library skills, including searching, referencing and using generative AI for good, with our interactive online sessions. Find out more and book a session here

2. Access resources 24 hours a day, 365 days a year

We've got resources to help you wherever and whenever you're studying:

  • Explore the Library Services webpages for help with finding, evaluating and referencing sources, browsing subject-specific resources, doing research, and loads more

  • The University's Study Skills Portal covers everything you need to get ready for assessments, including tips for managing your time, planning and writing assignments, and preparing for exams

3. Remember, we're still here to help

If you do need our help over the break, there are plenty of ways to get in touch:

  • Our chatbot operates 24/7. The chatbot answers are written by real librarians (us!), so you can be confident the advice is correct and relevant

  • We’ll be answering emails from Monday 29- Wednesday 31 December, so get in touch at askalibrarian@worc.ac.uk

  • Our usual chat and email service restarts on Saturday 2 January

  • The Hive is open every day except Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Opening hours will be different to usual over the festive period

Check our Christmas opening hours blog for more information

4. Find ways to Study Happy

There are plenty of ways to look after yourself over the festive period:

5. Know who else is available to help you

We understand there's more to life the Library Services, so we've compiled a handy list of University opening hours so you know who else can help you over the holidays
