A book and a computer screeen

If you struggle with print books and might benefit from accessing your texts in a different format, you can request an RNIB Bookshare account through Library Services. With an account, you can listen to text-to-speech, see highlighted words while listening, increase the font size and read directly from your internet browser. You can also download texts in a variety of formats, for example PDF, Word, EPUB or DAISY. RNIB Bookshare will help you to personalise your learning experience to best suit your needs so that you can read the books that you want to read in a way that enhances your learning experience.

This service is open to any member of the University with a qualifying disability. This includes visual or physical impairments, as well as dyslexia, autism and learning disabilities.

All you need to do is fill out our online form.
